Nucleus - nucleus interaction in the perturbative QCD
Nucleus-nucleus interaction is studied in the framework of the perturbative QCD with N c → ∞ and a fixed coupling constant. The pomeron tree diagrams are summed by an effective field theory. The classical field eqations are solved by iteration procedure, which is found convergent in a restricted domain of not too high energies and atomic numbers. The found gluon distributions do not scale, have...
متن کاملDouble scattering on the nucleus in the perturbative QCD
In the hard pomeron model consequences are studied which follow from the recently obtained form of the diffractive amplitude for the double scattering on the nucleus and the related EMC effect at small x. It is shown that at large Q2 the double scattering contribution to the latter falls as Q−0.6338 and in all probability dominates the total effect.
متن کاملHigh Energy Interaction with the Nucleus in the Perturbative Qcd with N C → ∞
The BFKL fan diagram equation for the scattering on the nucleus is solved numerically with the eikonalized initial condition and for a realistic nuclear density. The gluon density has a soliton-like form in the log q − y space. Inclusive cross-sections for jet production in hA and AB collisions are calculated.
متن کاملInclusive cross-sections for jet production in nucleus-nucleus collisions in perturbative QCD
Inclusive cross-sections for gluon jet production are studied numerically in the perturbative QCD pomeron model for central collisions of identical nuclei at high energies. Two forms for the inclusive cross-sections, with and without emission from the triple pomeron vertex, are compared. The difference was found to reduce to a numerical factor 0.8 ÷ 0.9 for momenta below the saturation momentum...
متن کاملConformal invariant equations for nucleus - nucleus scattering in perturbative QCD with N c → ∞
In the perturbative QCD with N c → ∞ the amplitude for the collision of two heavy nuclei is expressed via dipole densities in the nuclei. Coupled equations for these densities are derived in the configuration space. The equations are conformal invariant in absence of external sources. Passing to conformal basis and its possible truncation are discussed.
